Personal Projects: The Beauty of Ballet
As part of Lens Eleven’s regional lenser programme, a group of eight female photographers and myself got together recently to snap these two beauties at Yorkshire Dance in Leeds.
The sunshine played out beautifully through the big studio windows, the costumes and tulle were on point, and I made the most of the light pools, shadows, and slow shutter speeds to bring texture and feel to this photo set.

Dance can be very powerful: it can make you feel much happier, healthier, connected, visible, empowered or confident and we think everyone should be able to try it out.”
