On what was probably the hottest day of the heatwave so far this year, I met with aspiring actor and writer sisters Mat & Bee in Shipley last week to produce a set of portraits for both of them. We laughed, we sweated, we listened to Harry Styles, we tried to get Mat to look serious….and ultimately we tore up the lighting rule book.
These kind of shoots are a gift, as the rapport was easy and the subjects open to experimental shooting. As always I made sure we’ve got the correctly lit, ‘safe’ headshots in the camera first, but after that was when the real, creative fun started!
